You must provide information about the rollover within strict time limits, as follows:

• send the statement to the receiving fund within seven days of paying the rollover;
• provide a copy of the statement to the member within 30 days of paying the rollover to the receiving fund.
• retain a copy of the statement for your records (a minimum of five years).

You do not need to prepare a payment summary.

TIP – SuperStream does not apply

The SuperStream payment standard does not apply to rollovers to or from an SMSF. This means that you do not need to provide electronic service address details to the APRA-regulated fund. For more discussion on SuperStream, refer here.
